Does yours show a cpu1 > also? Yes, cpu1 (AP) should come between cpu0 and io0. I take it you have two installed. It sounds like a hardware problem here. You may have an unsupported board. Somewhere someone has a list of supported boards with "mptable" output. There is an older list at http://www.freebsd.org/~fsmp/SMP/hardware.html but I believe someone is maintaining another list. Otherwise, your board may be broken. I have no experience in troubleshooting SMP problems, so take this with a grain of salt.
