interesting.  I got an error from the remote mailserver and I didnt
realize that the message actually made it through.

I attached the /etc/make.conf.  At the time I sent the original message I
was running Xfree86 4.1.  Since that time, I upgraded to xfree86 4.2 via
the binaries they provide because I cant get it to successfully compile.

now that Ive managed to get most of my installed apps upgraded to the
latest versions, I notice that I now dont have an entry for gtk12
anymore but gtk-1.2.10_7 which I assume is the same thing.
