I admit this is slightly off topic but I don't know of a list that would
work better for this. I am looking for a small text only news feed for my
web based news reader. I am located in the midwest, and none of my users
have as yet expressed any interest in the foreign language groups. I
would also like to avoid as much of the binary stuff as I can so I prefer
limited message sizes. Anyway, I would prefer something like the
following:

inbound:	news.maxbaud.net
outbound:	news.maxbaud.net
groups:		*,@alt.binaries.*,@alt.sex.*,\
		@de.*,@dk.*,@es.*,@fr.*,@it.*,@nl.*,@no.*,@pl.*,@tw.*,@uk.*
max cross:	3
path:		china.maxbaud.net,news.maxbaud.net
email:		bmccane@maxbaud.net
flags:		<16384

I will also be glad to return a similar feed to any/all who would like to
peer with me, even if you have nothing to provide to me as yet. At least
so long as my bandwidth holds up ;)
