Hi, I've already tried the radeon driver and to disable dri and glx, to no avail(sorry, I failed to mention that in my first post). I don't seem to have a driver named "svga", or did you mean "vesa"?(I have already tried the vesa driver as well, but it made X crash in a way where no more keyboard input is accepted - I had to reboot by logging in from another machine). Thanks for your help, Matthias On Thu, 2003-10-16 at 11:38, Mailing Lists Catcher wrote: > This might not be related to your problem but on my Radeon 7000 VE I had > to disable DRI in the Modules section of the XF86Config to allow it to > work above 15bit > > Although my error messages where slightly different and my X would > lockup rather than error out. > > Also noted you are using th ati driver.
