I have found the file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and a couple of others, I am
asuming that you wanted me to use the first one that I listed. I am not
sure how to copy between partitions, because the only one that is
available to that terminal is the linux one.

Also, I am not getting any "digest" mailings.  When do they start coming
after an initial sign-up?

in freebsd XF86Config is located in /etc/X11/
under different linux distro's it may vary. try:
#find / | fgrep XF86Config
