Hi all and Pedro, so let's have a ballot; 1. en-openoffice-3-devel_US 2. en_US-apache-openoffice-3-devel I vote for 2. Pedro: Unfortunately, it is not. In the ports tree, language name should add as prefix. cf. $ cd ports/russian/rux/Makefile ; make -V PKGNAME $ cd ports/french/homard/Makefile ; make -V PKGNAME etc... it is documented in porters hand book. 5.2.5 Package Naming Conventions http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/porters-handbook/makefile-naming.html The package name should look like [language[_region]]-name[[-]compiled.specifics]-version.numbers. en_US-apache-openoffice-3-devel should fit the conventions. thanks, Nakata Maho From: Pedro Giffuni <pfg@freebsd.org> Subject: Re: ports/164230: repocopy request: editors/openoffice.org-3-devel to editors/apache-openoffice-3-devel Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2012 17:08:17 -0800 (PST) > Hi Maho; > > How about > PKGNAMEPREFIX= apache- > PKGNAMESUFFIX= ${LANG_PKGNAME}${LANG_SUFFIX} > > So we get: > apache-openoffice-3-devel-en_US > > (We should probably take the 3 out too) > > cheers, > > Pedro. > > --- Mar 17/1/12, Maho NAKATA <maho@FreeBSD.org> ha scritto: > >> Hi all, >> >> Many thanks for discussion. >> >> It looks all understands adding "apache" makes sense. >> >> However, PKGNAMEPREFIX is defined as ${LANG_PKGNAME}, and >> PKGNAMESUFFIX is >> defined as ${LANG_SUFFIX} therefore, English and Japanese >> version >> should be something like: >> >> en-openoffice-3-devel_US >> and >> ja-openoffice-3-devel_JP >> . >> >> Adding apache looks long. >> en-apache-openoffice-3-devel_US >> ja-apache-openoffice-3-devel_JP >> >> In my opinion, choosing politically correct one is good. >> >> so let's have a ballot; >> 1. en-openoffice-3-devel_US >> 2. en-apache-openoffice-3-devel_US >> >> for me, >> 2. en-apache-openoffice-3-devel_US >> >> thanks >> >> >> From: Eitan Adler <lists@eitanadler.com> >> Subject: Re: Fw: ports/164230: repocopy request: >> editors/openoffice.org-3-devel to >> editors/apache-openoffice-3-devel >> Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2012 10:48:55 -0500 >> >> > On Tue, Jan 17, 2012 at 10:39 AM, Pedro Giffuni <pfg@freebsd.org> >> wrote: >> > >> >> Adding the Apache name to the brand is the >> standard Apache >> >> policy and in the ports tree we already have more >> that >> >> 50 ports for apache projects using the "Apache" >> name. >> > >> > devel/subversion ? >> > java/axis2 ? >> > >> > It may make sense to add apache to PKGNAMEPREFIX but >> please don't move the port. >> > >> > >> > -- >> > Eitan Adler >> > >> > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-office@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-office > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-office-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" >
