I'm trying to upgrade from 3.1-RELEASE (on cd) to 4.x using CTM. I downloaded src-4.0200xEmpty.gz from ftp.freebsd.org and then did the following: shutdown now fsck -p mount -u / mount -a -t ufs swapon -a cd /usr/obj chflags -R noschg * rm -rf * cd /usr/src ctm -b /usr/src -v /home/lholcombe/src-4.0200xEmpty.gz # exit status (0) make buildworld then I get this error: pp_hot.o(.text+0x16a1): undefined reference to `setresguid' pp_hot.o(.text+0x1614): undefined reference to `setresguid' I have tried by: 1) ctm(ing) over my current 3.1 source 2) ctm(ing) to an "in fact" empty directory; 3) ctm(ing) the full delta set from src-4.0200.gz to src-4.0299.gz before making world; and it always fails at this point. I can't find any relevant reference in UPDATING or README. Please provide guidance.
