You can't install GLibc on FreeBSD You can use locale on FreeBSD. For example, for russian I use export LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R in my ~/.xsession -- Igor Roboul, Unix programmer @ Admiral Telecom ISP, St.Peterburg.
