 Really? Hmmm....

 I must go goof off on my test box again.

 Last time I tried to get "the whole mix" going via port, basically the last 
thing you installed worked but that was it.

 I do install/upgrade Mysql via ports, but during the copilation of PHP 
you still have to add --with-mysql.

 I don't know, maybe I just chose to be lazy or something.
