The posts you saw were maybe mine: I have one such system: 6-STABLE on=20 LS21, Opteron. You need to run at least FreeBSD 6.3 to support the=20 network controller and possibly the QLogic FC controller. The only=20 serious issue might be umass (compile it out from the kernel once you=20 install the system, otherwise the boot process will wait a long time). I = still didn't try 7.0-RELEASE on it so it might not work. Otherwise, the=20 machine is working and is very solid - no problems at all once the=20 installation and configuration is done. --------------enig00EED2CCD8FA325D5631BB77 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFH+MrIldnAQVacBcgRAu1OAKC/CrsJMEzKsJQyaIqZhIcg7egirQCg14Ie IQ+HHsUXLRwoHqaBLoMuHvE= =h/Rn -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enig00EED2CCD8FA325D5631BB77--
