Hey calm down. Your argument doesn't make much sense. You mean you have all the sources extracted, but don't have the distfiles lying around? Then all I can say is that you are a distinct minority. This check is added to save users from strange errors, and I am not going to remove it. If the setenv works for you, then let's all be happy. :) Satoshi
