You can try /stand/sysinstall (unless you are running a new kernel with disabled gzipped executable feature). I'm not sure how far the 2.0.5 version of sysinstall is capable of doing that without doing a full install but you might try with the W(rite) option in the disklabel menu and disable the newfs flags. Also you might want to install a games collection only.
