The problem is that fbsdboot is looking for the kernel/ root file system on wd0 (the first IDE drive). I think there is some option that you can use with fbsdboot to feed it a kernel readable from DOS (ie copy the kernel over to C: and call fbsdboot with it as an argument. I think you will find a bat file on the CD-ROM which does the same thing. /mark -- +-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+ | Mark Hannon,| FreeBSD - Free Unix for your PC| mark@seeware.DIALix.oz.au| | Melbourne, | PGP key available by fingering | epamha@epa.ericsson.se | | Australia | seeware@melbourne.DIALix.oz.au | | +-=-=-=-=-=-=-+-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-+
