If you were in the USA, I'd say "He (the dealer) should be ashamed of
himself".  FreeBSD 2.1 has been on the market for over 6 months.  But
possibly it's more difficult where you are.

I seriously think that you should give up trying and get hold of the
latest version of 2.1-STABLE, since you have net access.  You'll save
yourself a whole lot of work.  Another good reason is that most of the
people who reply to questions in this forum are using 2.2, not even
2.1, and have forgotten all the problems associated with 2.0.5.

I suppose "Installing and Running FreeBSD", available from Walnut
Creek, is what you want.  I just wonder if it will help.  At least it
has a whole lot of information on what can go wrong and why, but that
alone is probably not what you want.
