It's not a question of how much *space* is left but, rather, *where* FBSD is trying to access the disk. Have you verified that it's not a bad block (media defect)? As I asked *earlier*, what's the disk geometry (as reported by your BIOS -- *NOT* what FBSD tells you it is)? Then, what does FBSD tell you your geometry is...? --don
