That program compiled with -lxpg4 return "success", when LANG = "ja_JP.EUC". But, why the EUC encoding isn't supported in the library libc ?? All programs which use a setlocale function without the -lxpg4 link option will cause Error "Cannot set locale.". Do FreeBSD "japanese" packages which need to link a shared libc library or ports without the -lxpg4 link option cause any problem ?? > Andrey A.
