Perhaps we should make available the queue aging stuff used on freefall to mail exploders... it helps a LOT when dealing with unreachable hosts. Tweaking your sendmail.cf so that it doesn't retry delivery on a failed queue entry is another good idea. Speeds up queue runs no end.
