I suspect that someone flood pinging you at DS3 speeds would themselves have
to have a Very Large Pipe(tm) in order to cause any real damage, somehow I
suspect that that would be rather unusual.

Now if only some of these places that did mass marketing e-mail subscribed
to this type of service...  then some useful damage could be done  ;-)
