Shouldn't tmpdir respect the user's setting for TMPDIR? Just like tempnam(1), tmpnam(1), and tmpfile(1) do? I mean, I _do_ have /usr/tmp, and I _do_ specify it in TMPDIR, and I don't like applications wiping out my relatively small root filesystem, which holds /tmp and /var/tmp. This isn't a problem (hasn't been) and should stay that way. > > Revision Changes Path > 1.4 +8 -3 ports/mail/majordomo/patches/patch-aa > ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@eng.umd.edu | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 9120 Edmonston Ct #302 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run Journey2 and picnic, both FreeBSD (301) 220-2114 | version 3.0 current -- and great FUN! ----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------
