Kazu has fixed a number of syscons-related bugs. Not yet. I just downloaded the 2.2.2 bootflop. Problem is that the 3 non-working machines are 6 miles away, the working one is at my home. But even when there is a syscons bug involved this still does not solve the mystery that 1 out of 4 works like a charm. Further investigation has shown that all also have the exact same system BIOS.
