OK, that's a valid possibility. On the other hand, you can do that locally as well. ASCII conversion does too many other things that you wouldn't necessarily expect, and it must be the cause of one of the biggest newbie questions: "I downloaded the boot floppy, but (choose 1) - I can't boot my machine with it - The file's too big. How do I get it on to the floppy - The machine locks up" Greg
