Care to elaborate?  If the boot blocks simply bother to probe the
keyboard on startup there does not seem to be a problem.  (in fact, as
a hack, after I make a boot disk I add -P to boot.config on the [real]
root  file system of the boot disk.)

If course I'm just a user... (oh sorry, I've been in a DEC touchy
feely marketing meeting all afternoon...).
