You're right again. I see that messages: "sio[01]: 65 events for device with no tp" (not 64!). I don't know which kind of UART is used by the PIILS motherboard; the docs only say "16550 compatible". It's evident that it's not fully compatible. I'm ready to make all type of test on my system. Unfortunately, I have not fiddled with PC hardware for years, and I don't remember the technical details about the UART and the interrupt controller.
