Unless you write your own version of init(8), you'll need at least normal
init(8), sh(1) for executing rc script and mount(8). This is enough to
start in single-user mode. For near normal operation you'll need getty and
login, as well as /etc/spwd.db (that is, encrypted password database). Of
course, normal programs require _a_lot_ of config files in /etc to even
start to work... That's why it would be extremely useful to have one
unified configuration database...
