look at the *.txt files in
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/3.0-RELEASE/

look in ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/3.0-RELEASE/src/

If you don't want 3.0 (seems OK to me though), replace 3.0 with 2.2.7,
which is the most recent release before 3.0
