However, keep in mind that the CL AudioPCI uses the ES 1371 processor and a cheaper CODEC whereas the PCI 128 and the original Ensoniq AudioPCI use an ES 1370 and a better CODEC." The ES1371 depends on a different CODEC, something that is "AC97 compliant". What is your CODEC chip labeled - AKM4540? But at least your problem is solvable, for we've got specs.
