I'm not quite sure what our response to the 2.2 -> 3.x upgrade path will be. At the moment, we're having more success with "do a binary upgrade", because the built upgrade path is littered with corpses. There'll definitely be some testing done, but I wouldn't want to commit to a prognosis at this point.
