Since the current release is a research prototype (limited OS versions, expert-friendly, unoptimized, with more than a slight chance of bugs that could cause a kernel panic), the idea of paying for it may be a bit premature. The current license looks to be perfectly adequate for downloading and experimenting with the code. We're still working on our NT port and, as we write new wrappers and use the system on FreeBSD and Solaris, we will be fixing bugs and adding functionality. We'll probably be putting out another release in the next month or two. Our goals for distributing the code are to facilitate research and to see if there's interest in the technology.
