Ahh, well that's why it works with the older code as well.  The BIOS was
disabled on the Diamond Fireport 40 I tested on, so that's why I ran into
the problem.  The NCR driver wasn't assuming the board was capable of Ultra
speeds when the BIOS wasn't enabled.
