I don't normally use it, but my wife does, and I would've heard about it if it was crashing on her ;-) > Are there fundamental changes in the development version that once > it is released, some people will want to stick with the previous > version (perhaps forever)? Depends on whether or not they want the Native Language Support. It's been broken in 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 so far in the development tree. The development versions compile fine without it. I guess what it comes down to is whether or not people want the NLS available or not. > Do people really need to be running the development version (in an > easy to install port manner)? I think we can just keep the current xchat port as is, and I'll keep sending diffs to keep that one current. If the NLS works in newer versions I'll re-enable in the port Makefile. Everyone agree that's what we should do? If I don't hear any objections within the next day or so, I'll send the diffs to upgrade the existing port to 1.1.2.
