You could probably cheat and use something like post-patch: PATCHDIR=${.CURDIR}/patches ${MAKE} do-patch I don't think a ``cd ${.CURDIR}'' is needed, but I could be wrong. Alternativly, pre-patch: and PATCHDIR=${xxx}/patches if you don't set MASTERDIR in the port. There may be precedent for a better way.
