Ummm.. I'm not so sure about that. I had noticed that the DES & SRC directories had been changed, new directory dates on the primary ftp site server are 09/17/99 03:13. I d/l'ed both those dirs, and replaced the original dirs in my install set with them. These were d/l'ed approx 8:00 pm EDT. I then re-installed, reformatting the /, /var, and /usr partitions during the install. Only partition I saved was /home. I tried re-installing w/o Kerberos, but again, passwd was unusable. installing the kerberos stuff fixed it, as with the original d/l.
