Heh, I know that feeling; my wife's and mine computers have been crashing hourly for a few weeks, and the only thing I could think of was the really good price the no-name, generic ram had that day at Fry's... Went to www.valueram.com and bought new ram for us, nice Kingston stuff, and been rock-solid since.
