If you're interested try something like: > mplayer -tv driver=bsdbt848:device=/dev/vbi:input=1:norm=PAL:\ chanlist=europe-east:audioid=1 tv://S23 Help yourself with 'man mplayer' and when you have it working switch to mencoder.
