Changes to gyp should go to the mailing list: https://code.google.com/p/gyp/ http://groups.google.com/group/gyp-developer Typically gyp changes require an accompanying test change, but I don't think they have buildbots that test FreeBSD so it's likey your patch would be accepted as-is.
