	well, scott, you are located in one particular timezone while
	other members of the list are located eslewhere on the globe.
	when you send a message at 8am, its 4am here.  so i see your
	question 4 hours before you send it. ;)

	yes, nearly all mail to europe flows thru germany.  
	the scandinavian countries go thru denmark
	all of edu goes thru mit
	etc....
