I'm trying net.inet.tcp.(send|recv)space=372300, and
inet.inet.tcp.mssdflt=1460 as recommended at speedguide.com now.

Things seem to be a bit faster than before, but I can't be sure since it's
@Home or, unpredictable as hell.

I wonder what net.inet.tcp.delayed_ack is for.  Time to scan the headers.
