Ok, I got it working. I have disabled every driver I'm not using and
then it works. It is very wierd and I have never suspected it because 
in the past a driver clash normally caused the probe to fail. For
instance if a probe routine do something silly to other hardware. In
this case the ed0 driver still probed correctly and everything seemed
ok, except that the interrupts don't happen.
