Hello Georg, > On PC with ISA PnP AWE64 sound card > FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE on boot put this: > > isa0: too many dependant configs (8) > isa0: unexpected small tag 14 The first error appears, because your AWE 64 gives to many proposals for possible PnP-configurations. Count the lines "start dependant" in your verbose dmesg oputput; after the 8th one the error will appear, because the PnP handler expects only up to 8 possibilities. On this list there once was a patch to get rid of this message, but donīt bother, it wonīt harm your system. For the second error I donīt know. This never appeared on my system since 4.0 RELEASE until todayīs 4.1 STABLE.
