I know the benefits. All I'm asking for here is a simple statement, something along the lines of: "If thou changeth something in thine port, which doth not resulteth in PORTVERSION changing, then there shall be much wailing and gnashing of teeth if thou doest not add/increment PORTREVSION in thine Makefile." in the "appropriate documentation". If, indeed, this is an accurate reflection of PORTREVISION. Here endeth the sermon as aDe gets shot down from the pulpit. -aDe -- Ade Lovett, Austin, TX. ade@FreeBSD.org FreeBSD: The Power to Serve http://www.FreeBSD.org/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
