Try this line instead: # Device Mountpoint FStype Options Dump Pass# /dev/fd0 /floppy msdos rw,noauto 0 0 then mkdir /floppy mount /floppy Make sure you have a floppy in the drive before you do the mount command. Don't forget to umount /floppy before trying to eject your floppy.
