Both evolution and nautilus are, at the moment, highly Linux-specific
at a pretty low level.  Work is progressing in this direction, but I
don't expect to see stellar results any time soon.

In addition, you should be aware that GNOME and -current don't
particularly get along, and 99% of the GNOME work is done with -stable
in mind.
