This might be the solution to the problem, or it might not be :)  I've had
issues with various Netscape plugins dying on me because the site in
question didn't have the correct mime type set for the downloaded file.
Flash used to be bad for this.  Netscape does it right and looks at the
incoming content-type and works accordingly.  In windows, anyway, IE uses
it's local file extensions and application mapping.
