K, I recompiled the kernel and installed xmms. I'm playing a mp3 and I'm not hearing anything. Ideas here? You aren't going to get anywhere without recompiling your kernel to statically link in the device drivers or by loading their KLD counterparts dynamically. There is a section in the FreeBSD handbook on both compiling a kernel and configuring sound on FreeBSD. > I downloaded the drivers from the creative site that I was given and > this is what I got when I tried to install it: IIRC those are Linux drivers. -- +-------------------+---------------------+ | George Reid | FreeBSD Committer | | +44 7740 197460 | greid@FreeBSD.org | +-------------------+---------------------+ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
