Architect. Noun.. A person.
Design.    Verb

"He was going to priest to the congregation"
"She wanted to prostitute him" (!)
"Mike mechanic'ed the dashboard in his car." 
(if you saw what the mechaninc did to his car you'd understand
that this is not a good thing).

While they have "humour" value and I can even imagine a marginal
use for them, in storytelling, there is a perfectly good
english verb.. "design" , that is shorter and more succinct.
