I have looked through them, and I understand the WANT_/HAVE_ thing.
I thought Doug wanted to leave GNOME out of the main port, and just have
the slave port activate it.  Either way, the WANT_GNOME won't activate the
GNOME bits unless GNOME is installed, so I guess that's fine.  Sorry for
the confusion.
