I think I didn't express it very well, but those diffs have already successfully been walked forward as far as gcc-2.95.2, which is what is used in the CM3 distribution of Modula-3. So if there is any further updating to be done, CM3 would be the best starting point. That's why I say that the old 2.7.2.1 stuff isn't worth bothering with. But first, I might as well try using CM3 with its existing 2.95.2-based code generator.
