Hi there, I am sorry that I have ignored information from the SOA records. Thank you for your time. -----Original Message----- From: Bernd Walter [mailto:ticso@cicely5.cicely.de] Sent: Wednesday, May 22, 2002 8:13 PM To: James Lim Cc: hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: DNS changes for sg.freebsd.org Urgent On Wed, May 22, 2002 at 08:07:47PM +0800, James Lim wrote: > Hi there, > > > I am not so sure of the exact contacts that I should refer > this to but maybe if you know > you could help me forward it to them please :-) > > > Primary DNS : ns1.mindbends.com 202.166.25.89 > Secondary DNS: SERVER.BOHEMIANS.ORG 209.113.172.37 > > I appreciate your assistance a lot. If you are running a DNS server you really should know about SOA records: freebsd.org. 3583 IN SOA ns0.freebsd.org. hostmaster.freebsd.org. 102051802 1800 900 604800 1800 If you ask questions you shouldn't ignore answers. John Polstra answered your question yesterday. In both cases you should have known hostmaster@freebsd.org as the valid address. Of course there are even more sources for information such as the freebsd.org webpages or whois databases. -- B.Walter COSMO-Project http://www.cosmo-project.de ticso@cicely.de Usergroup info@cosmo-project.de To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message
