I'm trying to do the same thing with an NVidia Riva TNT2 card. Changing
the H and V refresh rates just ended up with X failing to start no
suitable screens found. The log files shows *every* screen resolution as
not being available due to "hsync out of range"

If anyone has managed to get this card to work on a TV with X (or a
Mach64, or an S3 Savage - got both of those too) I'd appreciate knowing
how/what you did.

Dave
