For three patch files I didn't think it was worth it. I'm doing the same thing in the autoconf ports. None have much history, and what history is/was there isn't terribly relevant... that is, not like Makefile changes etc. It really comes down to a judgement call, and I'm the maintainer of the whole auto* pile of <whatever>, and if I don't see any value in it, then it's not worth the bother to myself and to the others involved. -- Alan Eldridge Unix/C(++) IT Pro, 20 yrs, seeking new employment.
